Lee Dae-han (35), who garnered his first win in 14 years since his debut in the Korea Professional Golfers Association (KPGA) last year, is aiming for multiple wins in the 2025 season. He is committed not to easily lose the glory he gained belatedly.
Since joining the KPGA in 2009, Lee Dae-han has endured a long period of obscurity. He could not keep his seed and moved around in China tours for seven years.
Since 2019, when he played on the KPGA Tour, he has never ranked within the top 50 in the prize money rankings.
Then, he tied for second at the KPGA Championship in June last year, and won his first career championship at the KPGA Tour Championship, the last competition of this season, in November. It was all the more significant when he beat Jang Yoo-bin (23), who won six gold medals during this season.
Lee Dae-han said through the KPGA, "I won my first championship that I really wanted. The biggest achievement is gaining confidence," adding, "I was able to clear my doubts about myself."
"After winning, I think I can win again beyond the top ranks if I play well as I planned," he said. "I want to add another championship this year."
The competition that Lee Dae-han wants to win this year is the KPGA Championship, which has a long history. I am even more greedy because I was unfortunately second in this competition last year.
"I want to win the KPGA Championship because it is the oldest championship in Korea. As I won the runner-up prize last year, I want to win the championship this year," he said. "I will also seek to make it to the top 10 Genesis points."
Lee Dae-han will depart for Vietnam on July 17 and begin quenching for the 2025 season. In the upcoming training camp, he will focus on short games to enhance his sense of play. 안전놀이터
"Now, rather than making many changes, we will focus on making use of our original strengths," Lee Dae-han said. "I'm really looking forward to the opening. I hope April will come soon."
